Thomas Burr - 2000 Alum
- Where you are currently employed?
I am the senior Washington correspondent for The Salt Lake Tribune. I'm also chairman
of the board of governors of the National Press Club, a member of the Gridiron Club
and Foundation and a member of the White House Correspondents Association.
- What are your hobbies?
I love camping, traveling to new places, skeet-shooting and cooking.
- How did Snow College contribute to your accomplishments?
Snow College allowed me to dive into my interest in journalism, first as editor of
the Snowdrift and later as a correspondent for The Tribune from the area. I still
have fond memories of running The Kage radio station and learning from some great
and friendly professors.
- What is your most memorable moment at Snow College?
I recall walking into my first college class to find a seat next to a friend since
kindergarten and realizing the transition to college wouldn't be as tough as I'd imagined.
I met many more great friends during my two years there.
- What additional information would you like alumni to know about you?
I've been married nearly three years to the love of my life, Jennifer Burr-Linn, and
we live on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.
