The Dance Program at Snow College offers an Associate in Science Degree in Dance. We are committed to artistic excellence through fostering a supportive and creative learning environment by providing students with an in depth and broad-ranging curriculum with an equal emphasis in ballet, modern, jazz, tap, social dance, hip hop combined with coursework that includes improvisation, choreography, performance and somatic practices in yoga, taichi and pilates. This broad emphasis of the program makes it unique among other dance departments in Utah and across the United States.
Students gain hands-on dance industry experience through year-long company participation with the Snow College Dance Company or Snow College Ballroom Company. Dancers perform and choreograph for two mainstage productions and two alternative space productions each year, in addition to choreographing and performing at the American College Dance Association Conference.
Snow College Dance Company is recognized on many prestigious stages, including Regional, Virtual and National Gala performances with the ACDA Conference, as well as DANCENOW Festival in New York City, and Midwest RADFest in Kalamazoo, MI.
